Oh I like this! Christopher Nolan who is set to direct the next Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, announced today that he has cast Anne Hathaway as Catwoman in the film!
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story.”
Anne’s star certainly seems to be on the rise! I think she’ll be incredible as Catwoman! Nolan also revealed that Tom Hardy has been cast to play villain Bane;
“I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies.”
Christian Bale of course will play the title role in the movie. So what do you think about Anne Hathaway donning the famous Catwoman catsuit?!

Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, And Keira Knightley Competing For ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Role

Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, And Keira Knightley Competing For ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Role

With production on ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ set to begin in May, the search for its stars is underway. Rumor has it that Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, Keira Knightley, Kate Mara, and Gemma Arterton are all under consideration for the female lead.

Christopher Nolan reportedly is expecting Anne, Jessica, and Keira to complete screen tests this month. The only thing that’s unclear is if they are testing for the love interest or the female villain.

Hmm..which of these leading ladies would make for a good love interest opposite Christian Bale? I wonder if Maggie Gyllenhaal will return as Rachel? Or maybe Katie Holmes will come back?

Report: Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews Set for 'Glee'

"The Princess Diaries" stars Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews are in negotiations to reteam for an upcoming episode of "Glee", according to U.K. reports. Dame Julie is in talks to play the grandmother of Chris Colfer's gay character Kurt Hummel, while 2011 Oscars co-host Hathaway is reportedly close to signing on to play his aunt, according to the Daily Express. It's a dream come true for Hathaway, who recently revealed she's desperate to land a guest role on the show. Devil Wears star had even worked out the whole storyline and the song she'd love to sing.

Hathaway said, "In my head, I've cast myself in Glee and I know what song I'm going to sing! I would wanna play Kurt's long-lost aunt's mother's sister who is also gay, (who) comes back to help him deal with his sexuality, and I would sing 'You Are Not Alone' from Steven Sondheim's epic show 'Into the Woods'."

Anne Hathaway's Portrayal of Judy Garland Postponed

Production on an upcoming biopic of Judy Garland, starring Anne Hathaway, has been pushed back to allow the actress and movie executives extra time to deal with the "sensitive project". "The Devil Wears Prada" star last year signed on to play the "Wizard of Oz" legend in a big screen adaptation of biographer Gerald Clarke's 2001 book "Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland".
Work on the movie has yet to begin and Hathaway reveals production may not start until late 2012 - to make sure the film correctly portrays Garland's life story. Speaking on BBC Radio Four's Front Row radio show, the actress says, "It's a very sensitive project and there have been so many stories told about her life that we're really trying to get it right."

"So we're taking our time with it. I know it seems like it's sort of an endless process but it's very, very slow incremental steps. I had a meeting about it a couple of weeks ago and we're all very motivated."

Hathaway also opened up about the struggles of playing Garland on the big screen, adding, "I certainly don't sing like Judy Garland... But I think people might cry murder if they don't get to hear Judy's beloved voice so the talk is for me to sing but I don't know if that's exactly what will happen."

Anne Hathaway Moving In With Boyfriend Adam Shulman

Anne Hathaway and her boyfriend Adam Shulman have stepped up their romance by moving in together, according to U.S. reports. "The Devil Wears Prada" star has been dating the actor since 2008, finding love again just months after her split from businessman Raffaello Follieri, who was jailed on money laundering charges.
She is now said to have moved into Shulman's home in Brooklyn, New York, according to Life & Style magazine. A source tells the publication, "She's moved into his Brooklyn pad. They've been together for a long time, so she's confident about moving in with him."

Earlier this year, Anne Hathaway said about her dreams of taking an extended break from acting - so she can finish her college degree. She wants to go back to school to learn more about her new interests: poetry and philosophy. She said, "I finished two (years) and I'm hoping that I get back. The last time I went to college was in between Brokeback Mountain and The Devil Wears Prada and I've been really busy since then."
